With the end of June now passed....and past....thankfully...and probably the wettest on record I would guess....the first couple of days of July didnt seem to hold out any better hope for the weather....and hey presto....a couple of nice days with the sun coming out too....so...out went the trap after I managed a repair...some clumsy dink had dropped the MV bulb holder and broken it....hmmmm....anyway....money spent, repair made...out goes the trap....heres a few....
Lobster Moth, Stauropus fagi
Anania coronata
Cypress Carpet, Thera cupresata
Clouded Brindle, Apamea epomidion
Lozotaenia forstorana
Pandemis cerasana
And not everything in the trap, as you know, is a moth....
....did you know there are 33 species of Mosquito in the UK....
....and I was reading a few days ago that there is one new species found only on the London Underground....! Evolution indeed....!!
