0925 - 1200 overcast, some drizzle, brightening, chilly NW f1-3
A walk out with my son around some of the area and along the Medway for the rest was very enjoyable.
Some Mandarin Ducks did a fly by providing an ideal opportunity for my son to learn their flight call. We pressed on identifying a few plants along the way (trying to support a walk they did at school for identifying signs of Spring though im unsure if the teacher has a clue to be honest) and listening to a few bird songs.
I managed to sneak in a bit of birding along the way and was rewarded with the third new site tick in two days. 2 Goosander, a male and a female. Nice.
Little Egret3, Mistle Thrush 3, 4 Mandarin Duck in total, 1 Meadow Pipit, Stock Dove 7, Grey Wagtail 5, Redwing 10 (in one group with 4 Song Thrush), 1 Common Gull, 6 Chiffchaff (5 at Western end, 1 Eastern end).
What's your site list on now Graham ?
