Overcast, cold ENE f1-3
A majority of the site walked in the somewhat colder weather than yesterday. In search of more Chiffchaffs....didnt find a one....too cold?....have they flown further north??....who knows....
Still....no complaints....plenty of Buzzard action today and Sparrowhawk made a few appearances and the first site tick for the day.....Hen Harrier...a female.....white rump clearly blazing and tail too long for Buzzard.
Stock Dove had already been clocked up by this time as had 3 Grey Wagtail and 2 Mandarin Duck.
So, what was needed was a second site tick.....2 Redshank.....what a great surprise. And thats what birding is about....the surprises.....
What good visit that was Graham! Good job you weren't working ;-)
