First few are from my 1 January visit to Whetsted.....
Feral Pigeons, Columba domestica
Frosty scene in the quarry area
Misty scene across one of the pits
Lapwing, Vanellus vanellus....and the 'blobs' on lens of the camera...
And....at last....42 days since my last ringing effort I managed to get out today, 3 January, for a couple of hours before the rain and, inevitably, the wind, set in.....a few Redwing, Turdus iliacus, a couple of Fieldfare, Turdus pilaris, and....
...camera having issues with macro setting now.....Starling, Sturnus vulgaris
Hi Graham, not been to the pits in years. Is there access around all the pits? If so where's the best point of entry?
