And tut I will....tut, tut, tut!!
December is done....hooray......I have had enough of the wind and the wind and the rain and the wind and the wind and the wind.....no ringing has driven me nuts....
...only for the rain to arrive yesterday, filling the furled nets with water....and today being the first day in a month to get out ringing....and the frost freezes the nets shut....sigh!!!
The worst winters ringing I have ever done....
I suppose the brief visit to the orchard did provide the first bird of the year....Tawny Owl....which is a good bird to start with I suppose....
...back home for a brief tea stop....this provided Coal Tit, Dunnock and Wood Pigeon.....
0830 - 1100 Calm....as forecast.....cold...as not forecast....dry....as forecast.
So I thought I would have a count up....but even that was buggered by the mist hanging over the pits....sigh!!
Will it never be day.......?
