Why bother with bloody camouflage

0400 - 0725 clear, chilly but warming, some small light cloud coming in later, light frost in places

So more of the same from yesterday....but first....a terrible photo of the moon.....

...bit of a shame really....it was rather on the large side....so maybe you will have to get up and see it fr yourselves.....first thing in the morning is such a great time to be out and about....

Found a Nightingale has moved along a little....and over all 14 but still checking out some places so the number will hopefully go up at least one....!!

Other than that the usual birds were around...

When I got to West Pit the Lapwings were clearly annoyed at something......I found a Tog was seemingly walking backwards and forwards near the south west corner of the pit, the Lapwing alarmed...clearly the Tog didn't seem to care.....after a while he then walked up the bank, took a photo of I know not what....then meandered within 30 feet of me, passing by, without saying a word....what a bloody incompetent moron....and to top the bloody lot he was wearing camouflage jacket and hat!!!....clearly he couldn't even see his own irony....round of applause for the twat in the hat....

Anyway...he missed the 3 Little Egret that went out earlier....and the Mandarin Duck....and the Common Sandpiper....and the bubbling Cuckoo....whilst the Tog was looking down he missed the 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls going over....

  1. Hi,pleased to hear you have good numbers of Nightingales on sight. At Leybourne/New Hythe numbers remain much the same, with 27 singing birds in the area.
