March on....

0715 - 0845 bright, cloudy, cool but warming

A quick WeBS visit so not much time to admire the other birds...though there were plenty about....the Reed Buntings were in their now usual place near warbler corner with Yellowhammers in tow....Bullfinch, Linnet, Dunnock, Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Great Tit were all in song with the occasional Song Thrush....

Warbler count:

Chiffchaff 4

....no Cettis for the second visit in succession...im hoping this is due to it saving all its energy for when a female flies over....bah!

So...on the pits then.....

126 Tufted Duck, 5 Pochard, 6 Mallard, 12 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 59 Coot, 5 Morhens, 1 Grey Heron, 3 Mute Swan, 33 Canada Geese, 17 Greylag Geese, 4 Gadwall (males), 11 Shoveler, 3 Mandarin Duck (2m 1f), 1 Little Egret, 3 Goldeneye (2m 1f), 3 Cormorant, 9 Black-headed Gull....
