2 go to Whetsted

 and....back to Whetsted....feels like home....well..not really...but nearly home...

2 visits in the past few days.....today, Wednesday 15 march.....and Sunday 12 march....

sme similar birds....some not....the sun today seemed to bring many birds out and in to song, though sunday there was a reasonable amount of song as well....but more noticeable today with Dunnocks and Song Thrush leading the way....

So....highlights.....

Great White Egret still present and been around for a couple of years now....3 Little Egret, a good number for here, so hopefully the beginnings of a breeding colony....would be nice...

Plenty of Skylark....Goldfinches and Linnets singing....Bullfinches usual numbers and usual place, including that lovely little ringing note at the end of the usual refrain.....lovely.....

3 Buzzards both days with lots of stooping today.....Sparrowhawk...not really the usual raptor at Whetsted, occasionally seen but both times this time round....

3 Goldeneye....1 male 2 females.....seems like one pair and a lone female on a different pit....

Chiffchaff singing today....its around this time that migrants arrive on site so....im going with this bird is a migrant....
