A quick visit to see if I could locate a few more Nightingales on territory, I knew I had a short time due to the forecast, which wasn't wrong...it eventually rained....
In the meantime the A21 near me has had a lot of re-covering down towards Kippings Cross...maybe you've been lucky enough to drive on its super nice surface....(or even used the new dual carriageway between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge)....and heres what happened to the old A21...
Anyway...enough of that....
The Nightingales were, for the most part, very quiet again....was it the rainy conditions?...who knows...but only 2 were even giving it a go this morning.
On the good side I think I have found a new Garden Warbler....which would be great...and the Lesser Whitethroat is still over the eastern side. The Nuthatch was quite noisy by the gates.
A visit to North Field to check out the Field Horsetail again.....its coming along....

Another regular plant on site....Burdock...

There were a couple of male Mandarin Ducks hanging around...

Wandering across North Field, which I don't do too much as I don't like disturbing the Skylark there....I came across the Field Speedwell...

....and over on the East footpath....some Germander Speedwell...
