A week of new ticks for the year list so it must be time to do a bit of 'home' birding....so off to Whetsted....
Not a great deal about, there seems to have been a clear out of ducks....all the Wigeon are gone, many of the Gadwall too as well as all but one Pochard....the water is only half frozen now, allowing the male Goldeneye to return to middle pit....
Crow, Blu Tit, Woodpigeon, Starling, Magpie, Jay, 2 Buzzard, Goldfinch, Feral Pigeon, Blackbird, Fieldfare, Redwing, Skylark, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Yellowhammer, Stock Dove, Bullfinch, Wren, Green Woodpecker, Reed Bunting, Long Tail Tit, Dunnock, House Sparrow, Kestrel....
31 Gadwall, 13 Shoveler, 2 Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, 27 Coot, 37 Tufted Duck, 1 Pochard, 7 Teal, 8 Cormorant, 5 Mallard, 1 Moorhen, 1 Goldeneye (male), 105 Greylag Geese, 54 Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Gull, 1 Herring Gull, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Water Rail, 2 Mute Swan....
