1030 - 1230 dull, overcast, grey
A late visit for the WeBS count today.....attempted a visit yesterday but the fog was so bad couldn't see anything....still misty this morning so left it as long as possible....it kind of got brighter, but not that much...
The western pit is now looking rather empty...with just about all the birds on it for the past few weeks many have now dispersed either to other pits or to other locations.....its still far too warm...a Robin was out and about doing its best flycatcher impersonation, very entertaining.....
103 Coot, 7 Mallard, 1 Grey Heron, 7 Mute Swan, 77 Gadwall, 13 Teal, 14 Pochard, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 7 Little Grebe, 8 Shoveler, 5 Wigeon, 3 Moorhen, 70 Tufted Duck, 67 Black-headed Gull, 1 Water Rail, 1 Canada Goose, 1 Goosander (male).....
