Out of 302

1000 - 1125 overcast, chilly SW f1-4

Well, this was meant to be Rye Harbour for Wheatear and more....circumstances beyond my control, as they say, were out of my control...so by the time I got round to leaving the house it was later blah blah blah....and so to Whetsted....

Out of 302 gulls on one pit, with more flying in, 300 were Black-headed Gulls and 2 were Mediterranean Gulls.

A male Goldeneye was sharing the space with them. A Siskin called with some Goldfinch and the usual array of Bullfinches were around the site.  A single Buzzard today.  It was nice to see that Meadow Pipit had increased 100% to 2.

Eventually I came across one Grey Wagtail.  A few Chiffchaff were singing around the site but perhaps we have hit the 'lull' before the storm....with Swallow and Wheatear reported along the South coast (hence my original plan to head South)....
