A new moth and a birds wing....

With the better weather (until today when its been misty rain on and off all day) I have managed a couple of trapping sessions recently....though I have to say so far im not over impressed with the Summer weather so far.....

This micro moth is blessed with both a latin name and a common name....as you know most micro moths usually only get a latin name....

Gold Triangle, Hypsopygia costalis

At rest this next moth is supposed to resemble a pair of birds wings....hence the name....any questions about that.....dont ask me...I dont get it.......

Birds Wing, Dypterygia scabriuscula

Possibly named after the intricate weaving of the black and white lines....possibly....
