The return of……!!!!!....DH......at a socially acceptable distance....nice to see DH again after a few weeks of him being stuck indoors...well....he walked his local T. Wells patch and managed to scratch up a couple of Nightingales....so not that bad really.....
However.....today still produced the necessary birds for him to add to his year tally....I think I might just forget any year tally...though I only usually count to 100 and then stop counting....but the last few weeks missed will play havoc with counting so.....not bothering....
The warblers were present....
Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroat, Garden Warbler, Reed Warbler, Cettis Warbler, Nightingale, Blackcap....not a bad little list....
Heres a Whitethroat singing from the lines....
Probably the two highlights were finding 4 Turtle Doves.....and the Lapwing chick with the two adults at West Pit.....
Salsify
Salsify....again....
West Pit levels have dropped and now more
mud/sand bars are above water and useable...
On the return journey we found 2 Common Sandpipers at Island Pit....
