Down South

As far as Rye Harbour anyway....

0800 - 1130 overcast, brightening but remaining cloudy, cool but warmng, E f1-3

A trip out to the coast....one of my favourite sites and probably more going on here than on the north Kent coast at the moment....

Highlight was the Spoonbill....

Spoonbill...very distant though....

....more preening....

However.....other highlights included a Grey Heron catching and wrestling with an Eel....a Stoat running across the reserve creating chaos but carrying a Rabbit...

There was other birds on offer though....Little Tern, Common Tern and Sandwich Tern trio was nice to see and the Littles were close to the fence so gave good views.....

Alos....lots of these guys....

Black-headed Gull

Med Gulls, Common Gulls, Herring Gulls, Great Black-backed Gulls.....

....and smaller birds too...

Linnet looking good....

Lots of juveniles on show....Avocet, Oystercatcher on the beach....and these clowns on the wires...

Rook family...adults and juveniles...
