January......Blown Away

So let it rain....
...or let the sun shine down on me....
Blown Away, J Lynne

0930- 1130 windy, overcast, brightening slowly, cool SW f2-4

Well, I didn't get blown away, though it was pretty breezy....and a little splash of rain too....glad I wasn't at Rye today!!

Not a huge amount to report....was hoping for a new bird for the site today as last day of January....but that didn't happen.

However, there were a couple of high points....5 Common Gull on middle pit with about 150 Black-headed Gulls and 1 Greater Black-backed Gull.....along long straight 5 Lesser Redpolls were on the alders.....nice.

So....what was around....

9 Pochard, 86 Tufted Duck, 45 Shoveler, 7 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 148 Greylag Geese, 13 Canada Geese, 1 Little Egret, 2 Gadwall

18 Stock Dove feeding out in the field south of island pit with at least 1000 Starlings and  mixed in with Fieldfares....
