...or not....
One minute they are ahead...now theyre behind.....weather fronts....'its all going to happen now'...or not....
I'm trying to make anything that moves in to a warbler at Whetsted....although the Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps arrived...or some Blackcaps...and still 7 Willow Warblers singing on site....not forgetting the one Whitethroat....it seems to me its pretty good going....
Reflecting on my trip to Marquenterre last Tuesday and subsequent site visits on the Wednesday coming home through France....maybe there wasn't enough warblers around there....I had very few Whitethroats, one Nightingale...certainly the same as here with lots of Willow Warblers, Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps...and seemingly a good number of Sedge Warblers....though there are plenty of those at Rye Harbour...
When will the rush start...?
April WeBS though...must be done....had to do it in an evening visit as this mornings visit was accompanied by fog covered pits, although it seemed restricted to covering the marshy areas, so probably from Tonbridge through to Laddingford I would guess....
20 Mallard, 29 Tufted Duck, 31 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 21 Canada Geese, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Shoveler, 2 Grey Heron, 3 Mute Swan, 10 Greylag Geese, 1 Little Grebe.
....and....8 Fieldfare....
