Cettis Return

0910 - 1130 bright, sunny, warm to very warm

A fabulous day....after a clear night last night....so a trip to the pits in the company of DH just to see if anything else was happening....though we only did about three-quarter of the site....so a reduced warbler count...

Warbler count:

Chiffchaff 20

Cettis Warbler 1

Yes....the Cettis Warbler is back...or is it a different one.....?  I'm guessing its the same one...it has relocated north-east and is now in woodland....hopefully it will move back....but if it doesn't, at least remain on site....so...all systems go for breeding this year!?  It was blowing up a storm singing....

The 3 Goldeneye had now become 4 with the arrival of another female....the original pair certainly seemed stuck together still so maybe the new pair will make overtones in that direction too....

2 pairs of Mandarin Duck were on big pit....

2 Little Egret were on middle pit....

There were good numbers of Buzzards around, one pair still at the west evergreen trees....out north at least 5 were high in the air....

....and the weather was a terrific spring day....
