One Swallow does not a summer make...so...does One Fieldfare a winter make...? If it does or doesn't I saw one...at last...a winter thrush...!!
A wander in hope of finding something different....and something different indeed was found....
5 Teal....new for the winter season....(sounds like a sale)....an increased number of Wigeon, 24....lots of Gadwall too. 200 plus Greylag.....2 Snipe was nice to see....4 Meadow Pipits were at the quarry in their usual winter area....Yellowhammers, Linnets, Goldfinches were keeping them company. 3 Chiffchaffs were calling as were some Bullfinches. A few Skylark went overhead and a number of Reed Bunting were around.
