If you hear an interesting call....

...my lecturer at Plumpton College, Reg Lannaway, said to us once...'it will be a Great Tit'.

I dont know about you, but this has proven true time and again.  Following a strange call, or something that sounds like it should be something else...and there it is...a Great Tit.  Todays little adventure was Lesser Whitethroat...but it was a Great Tit.  I think it should have a name change immediately...Great Song Tit...or Great Variety of Calls Tit.....

Reg Lannaway was a great lecturer and its always nice to be reminded of him in this way....it always makes me smile to myself when its another Great Tit....

Up with the Lark....possibly before some of them....to go and set up for ringing....or rather, finish the setting up process for the Spring/Summer ringing area.....then on to Whetsted for a wander round...
