….there is some Verbascum….common name...Mullein.....and these..........
….are Mullein moth caterpillars shredding them.....
………..the eggs are laid between May and July....ten days later the caterpillars emerge and for 30 days eat....and eat....and eat....after this they leave the plant to pupate underground....it will now be a few years before the moth emerges as a single generation....a few weeks later the process is back to the start and the adult moths die.....
