Warblers arrival...

0530 - 0830 chilly, light frost, clear sky

Having found one Nightingale yesterday I hurried out this morning....dawn was breaking and plenty of birds were singing....so it was great to find 3 Nightingales on site singing....2 along the avenue and one not far on the new cut thru...a great start....

I decided not to make a count of the usual Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps but rather enjoy the morning....the moment of arrival....counting can wait....

3 Willow Warblers are still present....and as I was there earlier than usual I managed to sort out that there are at least 3 Cettis Warblers on site now...I managed to catch them calling at similar times...so the minimum is 3....are there 4?....

The other great news....a Reed Warbler was singing at the small weedy pit just east of West Pit....

One of the Lapwings was at West Pit as usual.....
