Broadwater Warren.....evening visit for Nightjar....
Arrived early for meander round to see if I could pick up a few other species first before the night descended....
One of the first birds I came across, carrying food.....Tree Pipit.....nice...!! Sitting in a tree with Yellowhammer, Chaffinch and Goldfinch....
Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Tawny Owl, Song Thrush, Stonechat....
The night descended....quite coolly actually....glad I had an extra jumper on.....and the churrrring commenced....DH and I were down from Gate 1, my usual spot as its so reliable....there must have been at least 4 or 5 churrrrrring birds.....views were the usual standard....(it will be hard to beat the close up wing clapping I saw a couple of years ago)….however....certainly no complaints and over all an exciting evening out.....
