Beginnings....and Endings...

0900 - 1140 sunny, some cloud, warm but quite cool SW f2-3

The past week or so they have been creating all sorts of mess and noise around the quarry...today was the 'fire'...

....bit distant as I was north side of North Field....

However...worse...I had already witnessed aggregate grading machinery arriving...!  I'm wondering if they are going to use the large pile of road finings to make a temporary road along the south side of the pits this summer....

7 Chiffchaff on site today....4 Common Gull, Meadow Pipit, Skylarks, 2 Linnet, Cettis Warbler, 2 Little Egret, 3 Snipe, 7 Pochard, 3 Goldeneye...

The Sand Martin have moved on having survived three scary cold days attempting to find food on the pits.....

A Coal Tit was on site at the eastern end for the second time...

Chaffinch

Goldeneye

And...to finish....this behaviour disgusts me...dog walkers are just a pain....really?  Stop it you morons.
