Winter sun...almost Spring

Seasons change with the scenery........
Weaving time in a tapestry...
Hazy Shade of Winter, Paul Simon

0915 - 1130 cold, clear, bright, sunny E f1

Well it may have been cold....but nowhere near as c-c-c-c-cold as Dungeness yesterday!  The wind on the coast made it quite vicious...todays slightly annoying Easterly, a light breeze, though somewhat tedious paled somewhat...

The guys cutting under the power lines have been around and I'm hoping this cut area will produce some good sightings this Summer coming...

Still not a huge amount around...Robin, Buzzard, Woodpigeon, Crow, Blackbird, Feral Pigeon, Blue Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Stock Dove, Bullfinch, Fieldfare, Green Woodpecker, Great Tit, Reed Bunting, Magpie, Dunnock, Wren...

...and now I would usually say....on the water....but....today it was mostly ice....

Shovelers and Coot wondering where the water is...

These next couple of photos were also of Island Pit...

Mallard, 20 Teal, Gadwall, Coot,Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Mute Swan, Pochard, Cormorant, 160 Greylag, 24 Canada Geese, Moorhen, Goldeneye (male), 2 Water Rail, Wigeon, Greater Black-backed Gull, Black-headed Gull, 5 Herring Gull, 5 Common Gull.

A new species for both the year list and Whetsted list too....Canada Goose....

And because Middle Pit was frozen over completely...the Goldeneye had been forced to move to West Pit with the open water reasonably close to the shore...

.....if only I would remember my camera instead of using my phone...bah!
