New Year New List

Actually....I haven't kept a list for years.....and I probably haven't been out on 1 January for a few year either....so...start as you mean to go on they say....we will see....remind me of this in a few months when my list hasn't actually increased that much....!!  I haven't been much of a list keeper the past few years, possibly due to ringing taking over and the paperwork requirements with that....

So....the forecast for today wasn't too grand....my initial plan of going to Oare, Reculver and then Sittingbourne dissipated quickly when I stepped out the door this morning.....dark...and drizzly already....

I arrived at Oare as day was breaking 0715 - 1030....still a bit drizzly...which remained on and off for the time I was there....and a quite cold wind whipping along.....

Despite the weather, the birds were about....and first bird of the day and new year....Blackbird....

....arriving back at the car some slightly heavier drizzle set in...so I decided to retreat to Whetsted....having rejoined the M2 I came across a Buzzard....

Whetsted....1115 - 1330, initially bright, becoming overcast/drizzly.....
