Two visits this morning....
First.....0515 - 0635 Clear, bright, chilly, SW f1-2
An early morning stomp round the Eastern end of the site to try to determine how many Nightingale are on site at the moment....10 found....a bonus bird too...Barn Owl.....fantastic....I usually see one or two this time of year, so im hoping to have a few more sightings over the next few weeks....but better get back home...breakfast and school run to do....
The Return....0915 - 1215 Clear, bright, clouding over slowly, cool SW f1-5
A return visit to count the other Warblers on site...a strange affair as it was quiet in some parts of the site...anyway....here they are....

Whitethroat 12
Lesser Whitethroat 5
Blackcap 25
Willow Warbler 3
.............and....another Nightingale.....11....
Other birds noted....10 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 4 Sand Martin, 2 Meadow Pipit, 2 Mandarin Duck.
