One Dunnock

WeBS weekend....!...so lets see what the weathers doing this time.....

0500 - 0810 cool, overcast, SW f1-5 variable

Blimey...whats happened to June....warm one minute (all be it briefly)....cold northerly wind the next....humid and sticky and a fabulous thunderstorm...then very cool, overcast and...well...not really June weather at all....

The forecasters really do seem to be talking out of their wizwabs at the moment....man I should have been a meteorologist, getting it wrong with no comeback....!

Meanwhile....back at the pits....

As its WeBS I will put the wildfowl first today....

26 Mallard, 21 Coot plus 2 juv, 7 Tufted Duck, 3 Great Crested Grebe plus 1 juv, 8 Mute Swan plus 5 juv, 1, Grey Heron, 2 Greylag Geese, 17 Herring Gull, 1 Black Headed Gull, 1 Lesser Black Back Gull.

Goldfinch Chaffinch, Whitethroat, Wren, Woodpigeon, Great Tit, Blackbird, Robin, Chiffchaff, Crow, Magpie, Blackcap, Feral Pigeon, Song Thrush, Dunnock, Gren Woodpecker, Long Tail Tit, Garden Warbler, 1 Nightingale, Willow Warbler, Bullfinch, Lesser Whitethroat, Skylark, Reed Bunting, Yellowhammer, 7 Swift, Reed Warbler, Linnet, 2 Stock Dove, 2 Swallow, Blue Tit.

Seems like the Nightingales have silenced themselves...just the one today with the shortest of refrain for me....so I look forward to next April then....!  Though I will have to admit that Garden Warbler is giving me great pleasure in listening to....so its not all bad really....
