The peculiar relations of RTW....real life....and Poundland

A visit to town....indeed...not my favourite sport....but had to drop off my son for his trip out with the Beaver...er...troop.....

...so there I was walking along when I heard the screams of some Swift in the skies over Royal Tunbridge Wells.........

........(as an aside several residents are having real issues having learnt that a Poundland...eeek...yes...a Poundland...will soon be opening here...clearly upset as they were lead to believe it was to be a Waitrose.....though it makes me curious as they have clearly accepted the Sports Direct in the shopping centre? Of course...it may have to 'fit in' with the local Hunter welly brigade so obviously become a 50Poundland.....!...).............

.......back to the........town centre...I looked up.....I counted....8.....8 Swift...nice...then I looked around wondering if anyone else was enjoying one of the 'sounds of Summer'....nope...not a one....zero....

I wonder..............or do I?........

...................I wonder if 'ordinary' people think that 'nature' only happens on Spring Watch or somesuch....

  1. I think that many of the public do only see nature in that way Graham and by doing so get a sometimes false image of how the countryside works.
As for Poundland in Royal Tunbridge Wells, whatever next, you can imagine many of the residents having to wear disguises in case their neighbours see them actually going in there.
