The summers really here and its time to come out....
Here Comes The Summer, The Undertones
Certainly seems to have arrived today.....a nice walk with my son included a whizz round some parts of the gravel pits as well as a wander along part of the Medway river.
Willow Warbler on site singing. So it literally had just arrived within the previous 24 hours. No doubt there will initially, over the next couple of weeks, be several around the site but more than likely end up with just one pair.
So, other birds we saw or heard.....
Chiffchaff, Chaffinch, Blackbird, Jay, Song Thrush, Blackcap, Great Crested Grebe, Shoveler, Mallard, Grey Heron, Mandarin Duck, Tufted Duck, Coot, Cormorant, Linnet, Goldfinch, Robin, Yellowhammer, Dunnock, Crow, Jackdaw, Magpie, Skylark, Moorhen, Wren, Black Headed Gull.
And probably some others too...but no list keeping today.....
Love the song of the Willow Warbler Graham, hoping I might just get one singing as it passes through my patch this spring :-)
