2023 already....totally ignored the pits over the winter really so far...but....as its a new year I thought I had better get out there and do some bird watching.....as im aiming for 100 before the end of January....mind you, I aimed for that last year and failed miserably......
Sunny, blue sky, some breeze from the south west that was chilly, but out of the wind it was warm....
Starling, Crow, House Sparrow, Pied Wagtail, Great Tit, Magpie, Blackbird, Woodpigeon, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Cormorant, Wren, Song Thrush, Teal, Jackdaw, Stock Dove, Fieldfare, Black headed Gull. Great Spot Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Coot, Tufted Duck, Bullfinch, Great White Egret, Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Water Rail, 150 Lapwing, 4 Goldeneye, 35 Shoveller, 3 Common Gull, 20 Ruddy Duck, Gadwall, Little Grebe, Common Merganser, Buzzard, Linnet, Jay, Cettis Warbler, Redwing, Goldfinch, Collared Dove, Robin, Long tail Tit, Herring Gull......
Not bad....46 species....and some nice species to see....
