For Fog Sake

I wake and yawn at the crack of dawn
With dewdrops on my feet
As I rise up to greet the morning
Nothing much to eat
Every breath I take seems to make my body ache
My only friend is mist on a Monday morning
Roy Wood, Mist on a Monday Morning

0430 - 0730 Mist, just about Fog, chilly

This is about right though for this time of year....and it usually hangs around till the sun drives it off mid morning…..but I was gone by then....and in going I missed the Terns again....doh!

Mist on a Monday Morning....theres a pit out there somewhere...

A weather change is due...looking rather unsettled this week coming so getting to the pits might be a bit more interesting.....still...im going to have a bit of time off Nightingale watch as some of them continue to meander around the site.....by the first week of May they should be settled on territory and will be easier to define the number....at present it is 15....

Nightingale 15

Met MA on site again listening to a couple of males not lagging with any Monday Blues....knocking the spots off any other bird in the vicinity...only about 15m apart they have certainly been determined to outsing each other for a few days now...

MA reported the Terns later this morning to me....

...and didn't count anything else this morning....more of a wander to see if anything new was around....but nothing to speak of.....however...there are some great areas on site where most of the warblers congregate......

Sun trying to break through near Warbler Corner

…...but Warbler Corner is the only area on site where all 7 warblers.....Nightingale, Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler and Garden Warbler....can be found....

Hawthorn

There are a myriad of dewy spiders webs....
