A few days ago a Cuckoo appeared....then promptly disappeared....probably moved along....anyway, today it, or a, Cuckoo was back....singing all along the northern side of the pits as the usual way is with them here....and plenty of Reed Warblers to choose from too......however....it proved difficult to locate until I was on the return journey....crossing the paddocks it flew in to an oak at the edge of the paddocks and sang happily from there....
It was a good day for actually seeing the birds....especially the scrub loving Nightingale, showing extremely well at warbler corner....
Poor picture of a Nightingale....
....and Lesser Whitethroat...another scrub loving bird....over at North Field it was happy to sit at the top of a tree and sing...
