Change and Move

0500 - 0800 overcast, cool, chilly, ENE f1-3

Welcome to Whetsted….

...words fail me...again...

So the Nightingale roundabout continues as some of them shuffle around trying to get or find the better spots...one had moved out to the scrubby field that has several oaks and some good thorn scrub round them....but now its either moved again or gone...meantime another has moved but possibly re-appeared in a different place....another in an old Willow Warbler haunt has moved off...

Willow Warbler 2

Chiffchaff and Blackcap..

Out in the south field....farmer piles has been busy spraying something....a number of Skylarks are out here and the Lapwings are around this field as well....

...spraying...right up to the edge and no doubt...in to the ditch....

...thankfully I saw one of the Lapwings, so fingers crossed they are still with egg(s) or chick(s)...

At West Pit this Yellowhammer was sitting not too far away...
