Grey

Not so cold today....but rather grey overhead and the light was also....grey....and the birds were distant to say the least....

Needing a new bird to creep towards the 100 before the end of January....so as the mountain wont come to Whetsted...I will go to the mountain....Haysden Country Park....for Goosander....

...heres 3...

I soon found 3 on Barden Lake and within a few minutes another two showed up....there were plenty of Black-headed Gulls, some Herring Gulls, a couple of Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Little Egret, Canada Goose, Mute Swan, Mallard, Tufted Ducks, about 70 Greylag Geese....I was only there for a few minutes....a bit more time would have produced a few more species...but on the way in and out Bullfinch were pretty vocal...
