Go South...

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve 0645 - 1040

Off we go to add some jolly birds to the year list which hadn't seen any movement for a while till yesterday....and first bird when I got out the car at the viewpoint.....Sedge Warbler....singing nicely and sitting on top of some bramble...good start....

...the viewing point provided the best views of Cettis Warbler ive had for some time as well....theres always been two or three singing around that area and today he seemed quite keen on sitting in one of the willows full view....

Herring Gull, Woodpigeon, Blackbird, Robin, Black-headed Gull, Collared Dove, Little Grebe, Chiffchaff, Marsh Harrier, Wren, Crow, Great Tit, Mute Swan, Mallard, Coot, Jackdaw, Cormorant, Mediterranean Gull, Blackcap, Greylag Goose, Dunnock, Yellowhammer, Reed Bunting, Gadwall, Shelduck, Curlew, Lapwing, Great Black-backed Gull, Oystercatcher, Tufted Duck, Magpie, Sparrowhawk, Chaffinch, Linnet, Starling, Great Crested Grebe, Feral Pigeon, House Sparrow, Skylark, Redshank, Avocet, Bar-tailed Godwit, Dunlin, Ringed Plover, a very sick looking Common Gull, Sandwich Tern, Wigeon, Brent Goose, Turnstone, Goldfinch, Pied Wagtail, Blue Tit, Canada Goose, Jay, Little Egret, Moorhen.....

Dungeness 1120 - till later....?

...the hope was for a few migrants around the obs and power station...but this mostly consisted of humans....
