Five go Warbling...but one has the afternoon off....

1400 - 1550 Sunny, little cloud SW f2

A return to the scene of this morning...a rare chance to have a second go at the site...and a chance to check up on counting differences between morning and mid afternoon....

Warbler count:

Chiffchaff 46
Blackcap 10
Willow Warbler 3
Whitethroat 1

...so one Whitethroat and the Cettis Warbler is busy sunning itself....

So...what other differences....

I managed to find a Chiffchaff carrying nesting material, presumably the female, as the male was chiffing and chaffing directly above it....2 Mandarin Duck by the waterfall, the usual place I found them last year....a Snipe flew off....2 Little Egret took flight from the me place....

There were plenty of butterflies....at least half a dozen Orange-tips, lots of Peacock, several Tortoiseshell, a few Brimstone and a lone Red Admiral....

...and something I meant to mention a couple of posts ago....an Oak in leaf....Oak before the Ash, as per last year...in for a splash....
