Im too old for this....Elmley

Awayday 3...Elmley

I would like to thank the idiot on the quad bike.  What a moron.  With his dog.  Roaring past putting up ducks, geese, waders and more.  Roaring around the reserve in front of me.  More birds up.  Roaring off toward Spitend.  Roaring back past me.

Oh, and if thats not enough, his dog and his shouting.  His dog off the lead...says at the farm no dogs off leads.  You cant have one rule for one person and another rule for everyone else.  He then loses the dog somewhere and starts shouting about, drving this way and that.  Bloody dog owners.

Now...someone will tell me he was out and about working on the farm, doing important work.  I think not.  I watched, he did little to no work.  All he could have done at one gate is possibly open it.  At another he stood around.

What a w@nker.

Enough to put me off going any further and so I left.  And I will not be going back.  I havent been for a good number of years.  But I have no interest in returning.

I dont expect to pay money to park my car, which is an entrance fee basically, and then have this happen.  Yes, I can appreciate its a working farm...but I expect respect for turning up and giving them money.

  2. Let's face it Graham, you just don't like dogs and like Warren will always find an excuse to have a moan about them. By the way, don't bother to come to the Swale NNR if that's how you view things cause you might come across me shouting at my two dogs, or the same guy that you saw at Elmley. Clearly all that important survey work I've done there over the last 30 years is obviously wasted if it all comes down to is wether I have dogs and shout at them. Presumably you would also disprove of shepherds whistling and shouting at their collies when rounding up sheep.
