Is it isnt it?

Cool mornings....and not cool mornings....Autumn still seems to be making its mind up with the temperature....though the draws of Winter seem to be beckoning in the ever nearing distance....which of course, as I keep saying to people, means Summer is nearer too...!....

0645 - 0830 warm, no wind, overcast

Several Robins were singing when I exited the car....I was soon to find out that quite a good number were around the pits...

Wren, Crow, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Kestrel, Woodpigeon, Blackbird, Feral Pigeon, Jay, Green Woodpecker, Jackdaw, Goldcrest, Yellowhammer, Meadow Pipit, Magpie, Dunnock, Long Tail Tit, Chiffchaff, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, Blackcap, Starling, Song Thrush, Grey Wagtail, Skylark, Stock Dove.

When more than a couple of Blackbirds turn up in my garden, there were 6 earlier this week along with Chiffchaffs singing and passing by, it surely means there has been a movement of Thrushes...and I recon it must be so....Blackbirds were everywhere around the pits today...some of which were accompanied by a 'flock' of around 10-15 Song Thrushes.....nice to see...

Meanwhile on the pits...

38 Mallard, 15 Coot, 9 Tufted Duck, 10 Moorhen, 11 Great Crested Grebe, 12 Little Grebe, 4 Grey Heron, 70+ Black Headed Gull, 4 Herring Gull, 2 Kingfisher, 1 Little Egret, 13 Shoveler, 1 Gadwall, 2 Teal, 1 Snipe, 5 Mute Swans.
