Glacier

With the current publicity, once again, about the 'possibility'(?) of global warming, I thought I would get these pictures out from my holiday to Austria....this is the Pasterze Glacier....

Now for the more interesting bit....some might say...worrying....if you had gone to see the glacier back in 1980 you would not have had to walk as far as I did to get on it....

Hold on to that thought....if your parents had gone to see it back in 1960 they would have had an even shorter walk....

...worried yet?....apparently its length is decreasing by 10m every year...

The best quote I have heard about the whole global warming saga was today:
